Magdi’s
concert in Nyíregyháza (How a fan saw it)
On 15th September Magdi Rúzsa gave a concert some minutes after 23.00 on the main square of Nyíregyháza, Hungary. It was one of the programs of the „Autumn in the Nyírség”. I was especially happy that this time it wasn’t me who had to travel to anywhere else but the other fans came to my nice city in connection with Eurovision. We would have liked to have our ESC 2007-Official book signed by Magdi before the concert, but the manager told us to do so after it. Despite the cold we held on till the end but it was worth. After the concert we managed to have the book signed with her. When she saw it she asked where we got it from. Zaffarano, who did not give up standing in the row, our loyal fanatic friend answered gladly that he received it thanks to his connections. The signature is only thnaks to him because he could hold on with patience in the „stepping” crowd in 7 degrees at 2 a.m.
She opened with her Hip-Hop titled song. Then we could hear Hungarian songs of her album and English songs of artists like Queen. I was pleasantly surprised at her performing Pink’s Dear Mr President, which was much better than teh original. During the concert I was thinking about how talented this girl is and I hope she will make international carreer as well. There was huge ovation listening to Aprócska blues. Before this song Magdi noted that the Eurovision Song Contest was one of the biggest experiences of her life. Right by then my heart beated a big, I felt big proudness. On the concert I understood what effection could she have on her audience in Helsinki. It is unbelievable how easily and full-hearted this girl can sing.
By the end of the concert the silent audience became totally activated and I was hoping that she would perform this year’s entry in English too, but she didn’t. Of course this did not make me sad because I became richer with a huge experience.

Koncert Nyíregyházán
Tegnap este a Nyírségi Ősz rendezvény keretein belül 23.00 óra után pár perccel Rúzsa Magdi koncertet adott Nyíregyházán. Kimondottan örültem, hogy most kivételesen nem nekem kellett utaznom bárhová is, hanem a többi rajongó jött szép városomba az Eurovízió kapcsán. Fellépését megelőzően szerettük volna dedikáltatni ESC relikviánkat (Eurovision Song Contest Helsinki 2007. Official Program, participants and lyrics), de a menedzsere azt javasolta, ezt a műsor után tegyük meg. A hideg ellenére végig kitartottunk, de érdemes volt. A koncertet követően kis csapatunknak sikerült aláíratni Magdival az idei verseny hivatalos kiadványát, aminek láttán meg is kérdezte, hogy honnan szereztük. Zaffarano, mint kitartó sorban álló, hű fanatikus barátunk készségesen válaszolt, összeköttetéseinek köszönhetően tett rá szert. Az autogram csak az ő érdeme, mivel volt lélekjelenléte a taposó tömegben birkatürelemmel várni 7˚C fokban hajnal kettő előtt.
A Hip-Hop című dalával nyitott, majd vegyesen hallhattunk magyar dalokat az albumáról illetve angol számokat interpretálásában, olyan nagy klasszikusoktól, mint például a Queen. Kellemes meglepetés volt számomra, hogy Pinktől előadta a Dear Mr. President című számot, mely sokkal jobb volt, mint az eredeti. A koncert alatt csak az járt az eszemben, hogy milyen tehetséges ez a lány és remélem, sikerül nemzetközi karriert is befutnia. Nagy ováció fogadta az Aprócska Blues című számot, mely előtt Magdi megjegyezte, hogy az Eurovíziós Dalverseny volt életének egyik legnagyobb élménye. Ekkor nagyot dobbant a szívem, nagy büszkeséget éreztem. A koncert alatt értettem meg, hogy milyen hatással lehetett Helsinkiben a közönségére. Hihetetlen, milyen könnyeden és teljes átéléssel tud énekelni ez a lány.
A koncert végén a ráadás résznél - amely alatt az addig csendesebb közönség teljesen aktivizálódott-, reménykedtem benne, hogy angolul is előadja az idei versenydalát, de nem így történt. Persze ez nem szegte kedvemet, hiszen egy nagy élménnyel lettem gazdagabb. |
